ADOPT A PET: Meet Mira
NEWNAN, Ga. – If you dream of coming home to a cool purr or a comforting meow adopt a kitten from your local pet shelter. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a “companion” for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.
Mira is a large, adult Redbone Coonhound mix and she’s on the Urgent Pet Adoption list. Representatives at the Animal Control Center think she is about four years old. Mira is pretty large but she won’t get any larger and she has been spayed, so puppies aren’t in her future. Mira would be ideal for someone who wants a calm, well-behaved companion. She may need some light obedience training. Mira can be adopted for $70.
