ADOPT A PET: Meet Matilda

NEWNAN, Ga. – If you dream of coming home to a cool purr or a comforting meow adopt a kitten from your local pet shelter. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a “companion” for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.

Matilda is a small, adult female Torbie Domestic Short Hair cat and she’s on the Urgent Pet Adoption list. Representatives at the Animal Control Center think she is about two years old. Matilda has been at the shelter since October 20; her former owner could no longer care for her. Since Matilda is an adult, she won’t grow to be any larger; she is the perfect apartment cat. Matilda is already spayed, so she can be adopted for a reduced rate.
