2 arrested in Coweta County double murder

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. – Two people have been arrested in connection with a double murder in Coweta County.

Lt. Col. James Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff's Office said two bodies were found at a home located at 360 Widgeon Drive.

Jarico Deshun Brown, 20, and Kenya Nneaka Sewell, 26, were taken into custody at around midnight at a Super 8 hotel on Highway 29 in Newnan. Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager said the suspects and victims knew each other, and both suspects have prior criminal records.

Friends and relatives of 20 year-old Michael Cantrell, one of the victims, stood and watched as sheriff's deputies and GBI crime scene technicians cordoned off his home Monday night.

"I just wish I could hug him one more time," said friend Sarah Dunn. "But I can't so I just want to say that I love him, and he's in a better place."

The Coweta County Sheriff says it was a 911 call that brought deputies to the home. Inside they found Cantrell shot and killed, along with his friend, 26-year-old Wes Watson. Authorities discovered the bodies at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, but the sheriff said it is possible they were killed hours earlier.
