How to Raise a Money Smart Kid at the Carnegie

Come to The Carnegie for an informative seminar with local financial advisor Sam Madaris Jr.   In “How to Raise a Money-Smart Child” you will learn how to start teaching your child or grandchild about financial goal-setting, self-discipline, and the basics of making wise money choices.  This program will be Wednesday, September 29 at 10 A.M.  Refreshments will be served.

"Sack Lunch Cinema" at The Carnegie

The Carnegie in Newnan will host the “Sack Lunch Cinema” program on Wednesday, September 15th at noon. The feature film will be “Sherlock Holmes”, rated PG-13, starring Robert Downey Jr. September 15th is also the Carnegie’s one year anniversary since re-opening in 2009 and cake will be served after the movie.

“This first year has really flown by”, said Amy Mapel, Media Coordinator. “We’ve had a good response from the community for the programs we’ve presented, the public computers, and the honor book system”.

Also coming up in September is the Armchair Travelers program on Friday, September 24th at 2 p.m., the Carnegie Literary Circle on Monday, September 27th at 10:30 a.m. and the Financial Seminar “How to Raise a Money-Smart Child” on Wednesday, September 29th at 10 a.m. Preschool Story Time is held every Thursday at 10:00 a.m.  Please call 770-683-1347 to make a reservation.
