Vince Lombardi play postponed

NEWNAN, Ga. -- Vince: The Life and Times of Vince Lombardi was scheduled to play at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts on Tuesday.

That production has been postponed because of severe weather that's expected to slam the area later this week.

A new date for the show has not been determined. Ticket holders who wish to receive refunds can call 770-254-2787.

Meteorologists predict the severe weather will strike late Tuesday night and will be especially brutal south and east of Atlanta, in counties like Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry and Spalding.

Masters of Motown coming to The Centre

Masters of Motown coming to The Centre

NEWNAN, Ga. -- A rollicking Motown celebration will make its way to the Centre for Performing & Visual Arts stage next month.

Masters of Motown will perform on Friday. Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

The production brings to life some of the top artists of Motown's golden era, include Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and the Temptations.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Visit thecentreonline.net for more information and to reserve your seat.

The Centre is located at 1523 Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan.

Look out for runners on Ga. 400

ATLANTA -- Don't be alarmed if you see a whole bunch of people running down Georgia 400 this weekend.

The Pay the Last Toll road race will be held Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8:30 a.m., and gives athletes one last opportunity to see the infamous toll booths before they are demolished.

Runners will begin at the Glenridge Connector in Sandy Springs and run south to Phipps Plaza. When they reach the toll booths, they will throw in their final 50 cents. All proceeds will go to charity.

Northbound lanes of Ga. 400 will be closed for the race from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.

Georgia Department of Transportation crews will also spend part of the weekend tearing down a MARTA pedestrian bridge on southbound Ga. 400.

Great Ga. Air Show begins Friday

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- The Great Georgia Air Show returns to Peachtree City's Falcon Field this weekend.

Gates open at 3 p.m. Friday for a full weekend of family-friendly fun, including air performances, a Kid Zone and live music.

Tickets are available at thegreatgeorgiaairshow.com. There is an additional charge for parking.

Falcon Field is located at 7 Falcon Drive.

The Broadway Boys to perform at The Centre

NEWNAN, Ga. -- The Broadway Boys will be in Coweta County this weekend for one night only.

The group of professional New York City stage performers was formed in 2005 and now tours the country, bringing pop music and showtunes to their adoring fans. They will appear at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
