Atlanta's own Electric Violinist Ken Ford performed live on Saturday, December 10th in front of millions for the 77th annual Heisman Trophy Presentation Presented by on ESPN. A first in the network's history to have a live music performance take place during the Heisman presentation.

ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

The Gwinnett Braves will be hosting a Marines Toys for Tots Drive on Friday and Saturday at Coolray Field. The Braves want to make sure “as many children as possible” have a Merry Christmas. People can take their donations between noon and 3:00 p.m. and meet with former Braves pitchers Phil Niekro and Zane Smith and former Falcons defensive back Scott Case. For each new unwrapped toy you bring, the Braves will give you a ticket to exchange for an autograph. The Toy Drive will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Wedding Expert, Tia R. Ervin is coming to the rescue for all brides preparing for upcoming nuptials in her signature "WEDucation" event, Beauty & The Bride, hosted at Polished Beauty Lounge in quaint Vinings on Wednesday, December 7th.

ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

A program called, Hope for the Holidays, will be held at the Art House in Buckhead. A hundred local artists will be displaying their creativity from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The event is being held to benefit a couple of local children’s charities in the area. This benefit will be donating funds to Jerusalem House, the Atlanta Mission, Chris Kids, the Children’s Restoration Network and Sheltering Arms. The Art House is located at 3193 Paces Ferry Place in Buckhead.

The McDaniel Farm in Duluth will be holding their fourth annual Civil War Holiday program from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The program takes a walk back to 1862 and tells participants how Union and Confederate soldiers marked Christmas during the Civil War. You can visit campsites, watch a drill or even make ornaments for soldiers’ trees.

NEWNAN, Ga. -- Help make a rescued cat's dream come true this holiday season -- and, in turn, get a new fuzzy friend for your family -- during the Newnan Coweta Humane Society's $5 Felines adoption event.

Adoptable cats and kittens will be on display beginning Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Newnan PetSmart. The promotion, which allows customers to bring home a cat for only $5, runs through Saturday, Dec. 3 and is sponsored by animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society.

After his retirement on Friday, Regis Philbin will be visiting the Book Festival at the Marcus Jewish Community Center on Sunday, November 20 to talk about his memoir “How I Got This Way”. Philbin is scheduled to arrive around 3:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Zaban Park facility in Dunwoody. Be sure to purchase tickets for this event soon, tickets are guaranteed to sell out; this event will conclude the 20th Edition of the MJCCA Book Festival.
