WEEKEND EVENTS: Renaissance Festival, Bark for Life and Booksale

FAYETTEVILLE -- There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

The Georgia Renaissance Festival is coming to an end. The annual, exciting, time-traveling fest offers jesters, jousting, juggling and a lot more. The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays (and Memorial Day) through June 5.

The city is inviting all to come out to Riverdale's Friday Night Flicks. The movies will begin around 8:45 p.m. in Riverdale Town Center’s Amphitheatre.  Pack a lunch and bring you chairs and blankets. Disney movie, the Princess and the Frog, will be showing on the big screen.

The American Cancer Society’s “Bark for Life” will be held on Saturday at June 4 at Drake Field by City Hall. Part of Relay for Life, Bark for Life is a fundraising event that honors the care-giving qualities of canine companions. According to Peachtree City, this event will be tail-wagging fun for the whole family, including the furrier members. Visit Relay for Life online to sign up.

Peachtree City will host a Library Book Sale on Saturday, June 4 around 10:00 a.m. in the Floy Farr Room on the lower level of the Peachtree City Library. Pick up some great summer reading at a great price, with proceeds benefitting the Friends of the Library.
