RIVERDALE, Ga. – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

On Saturday, the City of Jonesboro is scheduled to hold its annual “Jonesboro Days” celebration. According to the city’s website the event will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Jonesboro Fire House Museum and Community Center. The event is free and open to the public. The event will include food and entertainment. The event will be held at 103 West Mill Street in Jonesboro.

The Clayton State Continuing Education Department is presenting their first installment in a series of presentations. “Gone with the Wind – True Stories from Jonesboro” will be hosted as a two hour class at on May 22 in the Harry S. Downs Center on the Clayton State University, main campus. The class will take listeners to locations in and around Atlanta to not only tell the true stories but give connections to other parts of the GWTW legacy, the course is $20. Clayton State is located at 2000 Clayton State Boulevard in Morrow.

Bring your family out to the Clayton County Teen Summit/Expo to provide “valuable information and entertainment for area youth” at the first ever Clayton County Teen Summit/Expo; this free event will be held at the Morrow Center, which is located at Southlake Mall. The summit will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.; workshops will include: I Wish I Never Did It, Real Talk, Seven Deadly Sins, Cooking Healthy Snacks and Communicating with Your Teen. The Morrow Center is located at 1180 Southlake Mall #100 in Morrow.

Visit the Peachtree City Farmers Market which is held every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the new Aberdeen Village Center location. Come check out the abundance of local offerings. Aberdeen Village Center is located at 202 Northlake Drive in Peachtree City.

The Coweta Cattlemen’s Rodeo will feature some live bronc and bull riding at the Coweta County Fairgrounds. Coweta. This is the 21st annual rodeo held by the Coweta Cattlemen’s Association. All tickets will be sold at the gate. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. Proceeds will support the Coweta County Extension education programs.
