ATLANTA -- There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

This weekend, at The Red Stripe Midsummer Music & Food Festival, join the people of 790 The Zone for free music, food and fun at Chandler Park in Atlanta. The festival will feature bands like Robert Randolph and the Family Band, JJ Grey and Mofro, Dr. Dog and the Dirty Guv’nahs. The event will be held at Candler Park, which is located at McClendon Avenue and Callan Circle.

The annual concert thrown by Atlanta hip-hop station, Hot 107.9, will be held on Saturday at Philips Arena. The concert, called Birthday Bash, will be headlined by Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Rocko, Travis Porter, Future and Ace Hood. Tickets are currently on sale at your local Ticketmaster. Philips Arena is located at 1 Philips Drive in Atlanta.

Popular R&B group, MAZE featuring Frankie Beverly, will be performing at Chastain Park Amphitheater on Saturday afternoon. The concert will also feature crooner, Fantasia Barrino. Tickets to this event range from $31 to $75. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster. The Chastain Park Amphitheater is located at 4469 Stella Drive in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves begin their Texas Rangers home stand on Sunday. Watch as Chipper and the gang send the rangers back to the Lone Star State. Tickets are available, at Ticketmaster, for as low as $10. Check them out this weekend.

Atlanta Botanical Garden (ABG) is hosting their weekly “Tai Chi in the Garden” event on Saturday. The event is described as “a beautiful and relaxing place to begin your weekend”. Come out and take part of the ancient Chinese ex place to begin your weekend”. Come out and take part of the ancient Chinese exercise activity and increase your flexibility. ABG is located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta.

This weekend, The Black Women’s Film Network is celebrating their fifteenth annual “Black Women Film Festival”. Founder Cheryl Gripper started this organization in 1997 to increase the number of women, in all cultures, in the film and media industry. Gripper is also the co-founder of the BronzeLens Film Festival. On Friday, the event will hold their reception and screening of three films. Saturday events include a number of workshops led by industry professionals and on Sunday, the festival will hold a networking session. A sea themed prom will be held at Brandon Hall on Saturday night. Guests are being urged to “bust out your old mermaid dress” for the benefit of the One Love Generation, a local nonprofit that advocates for youth through art is hosting an adult prom “Under the Sea” style. This party is BYOB and tickets are $25. Brandon Hall is located at 1701 Brandon Hall in Atlanta.

Via Metromix Atlanta: Rock the Cure is an annual Brews and Blues event featuring the best of Atlanta including live music, local beer, great food, and exciting raffle prizes all to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Ticket prices include unlimited SweetWater beer, tours of the brewery, appetizers from Six Feet Under, performances from two bands, Mama’s Love and Lost City, the chance to be entered in raffles for various items such as gift certificates to local restaurants, airline tickets and more.
