UWG gearing up for annual Economic Forecast Breakfast

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- It's almost time for the University of West Georgia's annual Economic Forecast Breakfast.

This year's event will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in UWG's Campus Center Ballroom. It is sponsored by the Richards College of Business and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

UWG associate professor of economics Dr. William "Joey" Smith plans to give the economic forecast for west Georgia, while BB&T Capital Markets COO John B. Jung Jr. will cover the economy of the United States.

All breakfast attendees will go home with a copy of the 2012 West Georgia Regional Outlook, which provides economic breakdowns for Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson and Paulding counties.

The cost is $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight. Register no later than Monday, Oct. 22.

For more information, call 678-839-6477 or write to David Boldt, chairman of the UWG economics department, at dboldt@westga.edu.
