NEWNAN, Ga. -- An adaptation of Jeannette Walls' bestselling memoir The Glass Castle will grace the stage of Coweta County's Centre for Performing & Visual Arts later this month.

Sarah Franek will perform the one-woman show, which was written and directed by Wynn Handman, on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

The Glass Castle tells the true story of Walls' dysfunctional childhood. Her parents, Rex and Rose, often left Walls and her siblings to fend for themselves as they traveled the country, all in pursuit of Rex's vision of a better future -- life inside a mythical "glass castle."

Tickets for The Glass Castle are $10 general admission or $2 for all Coweta County students and school system employees. Visit thecentreonline.com for more information and to reserve your seat.

The Centre for Performing & Visual Arts is located at 1523 Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan.
