NEWNAN, Ga. -- Thanks to SPLOST dollars, the city of Newnan was recently able to build a new complex for its police department.
The department will soon move out of the municipal building on Jefferson Street, turning the facility into a development project.
The city is inviting citizens to take a survey on what they would like to see the soon-to-be vacant building become. The Newnan Cultural Arts Commission hopes to use the space for more artistic endeavors in Coweta County.
"We hope citizens will take the time out to complete the survey and become actively involved in the process of planning for community art/technical opportunities that will be available to citizens," Newnan Cultural Arts Commission chairwoman Pamela Prange said in a statement. "This survey will help us develop a master plan which is a view into the future and it helps mold what this facility will look like."
