One Tank Trips: Senoia

SENOIA, Ga. -- Senoia's welcome sign says the city is perfect -- for life.

It has also been a perfect set for 25 films and TV shows, many of which are documented on Senoia's own Walk of Fame. And it's only 25 miles south of Atlanta in Coweta County.

The film industry help transform the community from a tiny town in need to activity to a happening destination. Scott Tigchelaar, president of Raleigh Studios Atlanta and keeper of the city keys, is behind much of Senoia's revitalization.

"The film work is the icing on the cake," he said. "But even without it, the town is thriving ... it's a lot of fun when someone is filming in town.'

Just off the main street full of mom-and-pop shops are memorable sites from the most well-known movies film in Senoia: a home featured in Fried Green Tomatoes, a church from The Fighting Temptations and another house used in three movies, including Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns.

TV worker dies after collapsing at Turner Field

ATLANTA (AP) - The Washington Nationals say an Atlanta-area television worker has died after collapsing before their game against the Braves.

Nationals spokesman John Dever says 61-year-old Reuben Porras of Newnan, Ga., collapsed Wednesday while setting up for MLB Network, which is set to broadcast the finale of the four-game series in Atlanta on Thursday.

Washington's head athletic trainer, Lee Kuntz, and his assistant, John Hsu, helped to stabilize Porras before he was taken away in an ambulance. But Dever says the team learned the man later died at a hospital from an apparent heart attack.

Some Bank of North Georgia customers say money's missing

NEWNAN, Ga. -- Investigators in Coweta County says thieves have drained the accounts of more than 100 bank customers, and they're still not sure how they did it.

All of the customers had debit cards associated with their Bank of Coweta accounts, which merged earlier this year with the Bank of North Georgia.

Investigators aren't sure when the security breech took place, but say somehow thieves managed to get the debit card numbers and PINs for at least 105 customers. According to the investigation, the information has been used to make duplicates of the customers' debit cards, and use them at ATMs in Florida, Texas and Louisiana.

One victim, who asked not be identified, says he noticed something wrong early Friday morning, when he went online to check his account balance.

"First thing I noticed is there had been an ATM withdrawal for $602.95. Within two hours I noticed there'd been two more withdrawals," he said.

"Children are just ... you know, they're really just young and innocent," said Newnan chief D.L. Meadows. "It gets to you."

Fifteen Georgians have died in fires this month. That's the largest number in any April this century. Fire fatalities rarely happen, let alone with children.

Newnan community rallies to support fire survivor & family

NEWNAN, GA. -- The deadly fire that killed five people in Newnan on Saturday morning was ruled an accident, as investigators say it started in the home's electrical box.

But the family continues to question whether there was a prior history with those problems.

Molly McCrary, 11,  escaped the flames and was the only survivor. Now, her family and community are rallying around her and her other sisters.

Molly McCrary sits quietly, almost numb, as family, friends and total strangers come and go at her grandmother's home in. They are there around the clock to show their love and support. They bring food and clothing.
