Georgia's Top One-Win High School Football Teams

Not every elite team finishes the season undefeated. The vast majority of teams lose at least one game and with so many teams playing tough non-region games early in the season, many teams take their lumps early.

A perfect example is Camden County's 2009 team. The Wildcats lost to a nationally-ranked Grayson team in Week One, beat a Florida team in Week Two, and lost to perennial powerhouse Hoover (AL) in Week Three. After a 1-2 start, many people wrote off Kingsland team. Three months and twelve consecutive wins later and the Camden County Wildcats were the 5A champs.

Camden County's 2009 path was atypical, but could easily be repeated.

Newnan Police Warm of Scam Alarm Salesmen

Due to complaints of illegitimate home security salesmen canvassing local neighborhoods, Newnan police want to warn residents of alarm scams. Beware of door-to-door home security scams. Residents who have fallen for this scam have experienced consequences like: double bills, non-working security systems, and a hard time trying to get their situation fixed. Newnan Police are advising their residents not to change their security provider without calling their original provider.

There are several signs of an alarm scam which include:

1. Offering free upgrades or equipment. They might claim that your system is analog and will quit working. This is not true.

2. Claiming that your provider is out of business.
